We are looking for wedding venues that are a lkttle different to the normal hotel wedding.
We looked at loughcrew at the weekend and thought it was fabulous.

Has anyone had a Wedding here who can shed some light on what's it's like from the organisation down to the cost please?

Any recommendations for other venues are also welcome.

    Thanks in advance. :)

    Hi nansheen,

I think you might have more success posting in the Weddings forum: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=670 (where I've moved this). Alternatively, you could try the Meath forum: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=946 .

I'm from Oldcastle and it was always my dream to get married in Loughcrew.
A girl I went to school with got married there: https://www.onefabday.com/ie/pink-loughcrew-house-wedding/
Tbh, she wouldn't be one for taking **** so I'd imagine they're pretty good to deal with. The grounds and house are stunning.
The hotel has recently reopened in town and I think they are now taking guests again.

Thanks so much pooch90. We've been looking on and off for 6/7 years.
    Time to get organised!

I agree with pooch, I live up the road from it and it's fab! I'd say it would be a lovely place to get married.

    Who are ya??

OP, other options would be Clonabreany (€€€€€€€€€) Darver castle near Ardee, Boyne Hill House, Millhouse in Slane (didn't actually view this one) Station House in Kilmessan is where we went with.
Crover is popular in the area too.

It's a nice venue for sure. Other cool ones are Glebe house, Lisnavagh house, Trudder Lodge.
