Situation regarding part-time summer work and returning to education

I'm currently on Disability Allowance and looking for part-time summer work and have been given an opportunity. I have sent a message from the doctor to the DA section saying its rehabilitative as I haven't been working for years etc.

I am looking to return to education in September and start an undergraduate course. I'll probably have to give up the work which is fine but would it be possible to get into college with DA given I'd be working a few hours a week?

Your not going to be applying for BTEA at all as there’s no need. You’ll just be telling DA that you are doing a course of education and you should apply as soon as possible for a SUSI Grant for yourself as well. You will need details of you/your spouses income for the entire 2017.

Would it be possible to keep working for a few hours at the weekend or am I asking too much?

You’ve informed them that your working so they’ll require a pay slip from you in order to means test your DA against your wages. If your going to college then it’s a question of sending them revised payslips so your DA can be adjusted again.
DA reserve the right to review your entitlement to payment at any time. There is a chance of you being reviewed if you appear to be capable of a degree course and part time work
