A6 Quattro 3l

Am on the verge of pulling the trigger on a 2015 A6 3L Quattro.
Anyone have any real world experience of it being a daily driver.

The one i am looking at hits 8 boxes out of 10 for what i am looking for.
Its got cream leather ,will need a good cleaning every 2 weeks or so.
And its not SLine but SE Business spec.

Which variant? There is one with about 270 bhp and one with around 215 I think. We had several 3.0 tdi quattros in the family over the past few years and they were brilliant. A bmw 30d replaced the last one and it's a better all rounder of an engine.

Its the 218bhp version.

218bhp is a bit low for a 3.0 litre these days. I'd be looking for a more powerful S Line to be honest as it will be more desirable when you go to sell it on. 3.0 litre cars have a limited market here and those buyers generally looking at them tend to desire a more powerful and better looking S Line.

Yeah kinda wanted an SLine but the only one in budget is in Sligo.
I am in Dublin.

Both cracker of cars but with exchange rate and VRT it would probably put me over budget (max 28 grand)

If it was my money I would go down the route of a 245 A7 even if I had to go back a year.

Not a year reg snob so not pushed that way BUT with 2 sons over 6 foot ...i would be concerned by rear seat headroom.
Its the main reason i have ruled out the new c class (I know its a level down).

THere is an A7 in Kilshane motors right beside me in work and one of my sons is working with so may pop in to have a look.

Call Alan in M6 motors in ballinasloe. He will get you what you want. He is highly regarded around the midlands and beyond.

just started looking reviews for the A7 but its only got 2 seats in the back..Rule that out so!

Seriously though, wouldn’t it be worth the trip if you got a better car?

It’s 2 hours down the road. Not exactly far for the right car...

Nope - most have 3 seaters in back (all irish spec cars anyway)

Ah Shure I found one on Drawheda earlier on in the week and picked up this afternoon.
SLine Quattro. One owner Irish car with FSH from the same garage it was bought. 142 and was due an NCT in August so they put a brand new NCT on it and changed the pads and discs all around.
Now the next trick will be to avoid speeding panalty points.
