We'll be moving back to Ireland after 20 years away soon, and will need to buy a car. We have 2 children, and the budget will be about 15,000.
I feel tempted towards a 7-seater just so that we have space for granny and cousins, but in honesty I don't really need one.
Grateful for any thoughts or recommendations. I just don't really know where to start!
Edit: Children are aged 11 and 9

Hyundai tuscon is apparently Ireland's best selling car
Ford, Nissan (Qasquai) Toyota. All do versatility in crossovers, 7 seaters etc. good luck

If you have been away, sonething cheap to insure should be you highest priority. Hate to say it but you're going to be shocked at how much insurance for somebody in your position will be.

I know. I'm dreading it, but I've choice but to suck it up!
Any idea (ballpark) what I should expect?

Thanks. The Tuscan and Qasquai are on my radar alright. Will have a closer look.

I wouldn't have a notion. I'm hoping to move away next year for a couple of yeats and I reckon I'll park up my car and keep it insured either way as it will be cheaper than losing my NCB.
