Thinking of changing my 2012 2.0 TDI HL Passat and have found a nice looking well spec`d 2015 CC with DSG.

Anyone any opinions on the CC? Positives and negatives?

Havent taken it for a test drive yet but intend to do so in the next couple of weeks.

Asking price is €24,500 through a main dealer. Mileage is extremely low for some reason(35,000km) but it has a full main dealer service history.

I`d also be open to other suggestions around that price point. No kids but do like that size car. Commute 80km in total to and from work on motorway and back roads.

I do like the bells and whistles of a higher spec`d car also.

    Thanks.

That's a fairly meaty asking price for a 2015 CC. Here is a 2016 similar example from a main dealer outside the pale looking for not much more and I presume you will get the same VW used car warranty:

    https://www.carsireland.ie/detail.php?ad_id=1941972&r=s.php%3Fm%3D93%26o%3D2241%26r%3D2016%26pp%3D50%26g%3D0

2016 would give you the newer infotainment head unit too similar to the one found in the newer Passat saloon.

Regarding the CC itself, it's based on the Passat you are driving already so will be familiar but it has a more sportier suspension setup. 2.0 TDi from 2015 onwards would be the newer 150bhp engine and I think they got the newer DSG gearbox too which is supposed to be more reliable.

Thanks for the reply. Good to know about the 2016 update.

The one Im looking at is listed as 177BHP. Apart from that they do look pretty similar. This is the one I was going to look at:

The Joe Duffy one is a Irish Sport spec model whereas the one in Tipperary is a UK GT spec. To be fair the Joe Duffy one seems to have a few more extras such as higher grade head unit, adaptive chassis control, keyless start and the panoramic sunroof.

Thanks again. Ill take it for a spin and see what sort of money they want with my own car.

Took it for a test drive today and really liked it. Very well spec’d and nice to drive.

Put a deposit down as well. Picking it up next week.
