Stupid question, where do I buy a good phone charger. Good as in the quality you get when you buy a new phone., because I need about three of them and I don't want three new phones...

    Fast chargers definitely a plus...

I bought a 2m one in Penneys months ago and it's still going great.

The fast charge one I got with my phone is amazing though, my phone's battery is struggling a bit lately. Can't make it through the day without it needing a charge. Only had it since April 2017

What type of charging connector does your phone have?

I'd always get a charger with a removable cable as the cable is the most likely point of failure. With an integrated cable if the cable fails the charger is useless.

I bought an iTech 2.1A charger for about €10 in one of the discount shops (dealz or eurogiant) over two years ago. It has four USB sockets and a removable USB charging cable which is handy as the cable is the most likely part to fail on a charger (especially if you trip over it like I've done once or twice). The cable can be replaced for €2 or less if it gets damaged.

Amazon, easiest place to get them.

Whatever charger you're getting pay attention to whatever standards it supports. USB is far from a universal (what the U stands for) standard these days. For example do your devices support fast charge or quick charge and which version (despite people using these interchangeably they're different standards and aren't compatible with each other)? Getting the right one could turn hours of charging in to minutes.

Are your devices using USB C, if so then you may want to get a beefier charger capable of supplying larger currents, in particular look out for the USB-C PD (power delivery) standard. At a minimum you should make sure the charger is capable of supplying the recommended charging current for your device. Some devices will have an info plate near the power supply input or hidden under the battery but you may need to look online for specs for sealed phones/tablets. Buying a charger rated for a lower supply current could cause an electrical fire in extreme circumstances.

For example, my phone supports USB C and quick charge 2.0 and has a current draw of 2A so I would try and get a charger that supports at least quick charge 2.0 and is rated for at least 2 Amps.

As I'm normally charging expensive equipment I prefer to stick with the well known brand names such as Anker, they're normally a bit pricier but they're also more trustworthy and deliver a cleaner power supply than some cheaper devices picked up in the local euro store.

Do buy chargers with female sockets rather than integrated cables, much more flexible that way.

Buy? You walk into a hotel say you were staying there two weeks ago and left your charger in the room.
Pick the one that looks cleanest.
