Had anyone any success taking this for anxiety, also did it help you sleep and how long before bedtime did you take it?

I have some experience of using CBD over a period of a year but it was as part of a protocol for an autoimmune issue not for anxiety. I used a specific dose based on the science and in researching this I came across some references to use for anxiety. The dose used in initial human trials (anxiety) was quite high and specific as they showed no response at both higher and lower doses. It also is a relatively short lived effect (peaks at 2/3 hrs fades at 6hrs) which is why I used a daily divided dose as an anti-inflammatory – morning and night. There did not seem to be any effect on sleep pattern or quality and the science indicates this also. The issue with CBD at high doses is that there have been some studies which show that it can be partially converted to THC in simulated stomach acid and I know of cases where this has happened, so it is not without possibly serious side effects. As I mentioned in another thread CBD can also have an effect on other drug clearance rates so professional medical input would seem logical for anyone contemplating using it.
My reading on the autoimmune issue pointed to changes in gut bacteria as a primary cause and target and the same seems to be true for many chronic diseases. I used diet changes as part of the approach to restoring the gut. Anxiety has also been linked with diet induced alterations in gut bacteria so a dietician may be able to help. https://molecularneurodegeneration.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1750-1326-9-36

I tried this Celtic Wind stuff a month ago and it did not work, I like other USA brands more than this stuff. I felt dizzy too, no sure if that was from the product.

if you felt dizzy you may have taken too much or it could be the body reacting to it. There is an initial phase for CBD where people need to give it time for the body to adjust.

Then there is also the case where if you start out with too high a dose you can get headaches and feel dizzy and this won't go away if you're taking too much

usually any dizziness or headaches (if you get them) should be gone after 2 weeks.

I've tried a few different brands of CBD for chonic pain. The Celtic Wind one did nothing for me.

Dutch Naturals, Endoca and Hempture would be my go to brands. All come in different stregths and as oils or capsules.
