Has this house been re-plastered or just had wallpaper removed?

    I would say when you strip the wall paper you might find the walls in a bad state.
    Some houses of that era are wallpapered directly onto plasterboard.
    You could be lucky though, you won't know until you remove the paper.
    if it was plastered well originally and you take your time stripping you could be left with a nice surface

    That house has been Completely Re-Skimmed with plaster

    The timber rail/border attached to the wall about half way up, generally doesn't come off easy, and takes plaster with it
