    Sick twisted c*nt.

How people take their kids to be baptised into this evil evil evil f*cking CULT amazes me.

That is really horrible and shocking to see. The poor little baby.

Mammy looks like a good example of what mothers should look like soon after giving birth. No wallowing with the baby weight. She is back in shape and looking pretty straight away.

The restraint of the parents surprises me. I'm not going to say that I'd have laid the guy flat on his arse, but I definitely would have been in there faster and more aggressively.

Don't care what age he is I as a father would have him laid out within 2 seconds of him doing that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,499 ✭✭✭Sabre0001

Yeah, babies usually react well to a slap. That was definitely going to help!

I'd say it took a second to register. Plus he was holding the baby's head.

I'd have stuck his head in the trough of holy water and get the godparents to give him a series of mighty big kicks up the arse. Then again, I wouldn't let a creepy evil aul fcuk anywhere near my child. Poor little chap.

    a priest - are you surprised ?

He's not getting his €50 slipped to him in an envelope after that!

I'm not fan of the priesthood but he's the first one I've seen to smack an infant during baptism - in front of the baby's parents.

The man has clearly lost his marbles

Priest is an old man, so I wouldn't have clocked him properly, but he would certainly have gotten an open hand slap that would make his eyes water if he done that to my kid. Fúcking arsehole of the highest order!

I don't know the background of that video but I sure do hope it's being followed up with a lot of publicity and complaints to whatever the relevant authorities are (for whatever good it might do, at least it'll be on record somewhere)

Actually, isn't that illegal? I wonder what the chances of him facing charges are. If that's down the country you'd want to be brave to try and get charges pushed against the parish priest.

I wouldn’t give a frak how old he was, slapping a few weeks old baby I would have floored him.

You have to be fcuked in the head to hurt a baby. Absolute cunt.

Is there a longer video anywhere?

That priest should've known better, speaking French to a baby. Babies don't speak French.

the way he pronounces both ''oh la la'' and ''voila'' makes me think he is almost certainly north mayo/west mayo, although that could be anywhere from newport up through ballycroy into bangor erris.

i would suggest that if a priest anywhere Ireland hit a child he would be reported, charged and prosecuted so fast his head would spin. that would be if he survived the justice that would be handed out to him there and then.

I dont know how how the parents didnt take immediate action, they need to get their priorities examined

Only worry would be if ya hit the prick he'd drop the baby. Dunno if I'd have the restraint.

well I would have at least expected a parent to take the child off him

There is nothing modern or progressive about new mammies wallowing in weight gain. They should lead by example in the fight against obesity. By getting back into shape quicker they are more likely to feel great about themselves again which is only good for the child.

    whatever

I was more commenting on your entirely off topic observation from a video where a priest smacks an infant...

    Frankly weird to be honest.

    I wonder was it deliberate...

but that would be considered trolling wouldn't it?

I am actually more shocked at the parents in that vidoe who did nothing to grab the baby straight away and stood gawping for seconds before running out with him .They left a clearly terrified baby in a lunitics arms at risk of another clatte
But in fairness they were not expecting it so maybe not on high alert

I felt there would be enough comments on the reprehensible actions of the priest. I felt that the new mammy deserved to get some credit and not let the priest take from her achievements.

a characteristic of good trolling is subtelty

    you're a subtle as a Dublin Bus

I'd say he's suffering from some form of dementia.

People who think the appropriate response is to deck him with a punch are probably more dangerous people to be wandering around in society than an old priest.

Their main priority was obviously to get the baby away from him safely and that's what they did.

After staring at him for a long few seconds ! It took the woman on the right of the video to first react and put a hand out . The woman holding the baby should have grabbed the child immediately in my opinion . The child was already showing signs of terror as the priest pullled him close and held his head . He already needed protection before he ever slapped him. But in fairness it took them all by surprise and they were simply not prepared

I know what you're saying but I think it would be different if you were actually there. He was erratic and better to be calm and take the baby away gently rather than end up in a tug of war while he was gripping onto the baby's head.

Ye the priest was acting unusual before hitting him but I doubt they were thinking he would unexpectedly assault him and I'd say for a few moments they were in disbelief.

Yes i understand what you are saying but the baby was in hysterics already and the man ( ? Dad ) actually grins at someone about it . The woman holding should have seen a red flag and hugged that baby long before the slap . They reacted very slowely to an assault on a baby. My tiger mother instict would have reacted much quicker I think. But that is not by any means laying blame on anyone but the priest

Remember those monks in the brown habits who would hit you with the ropes around their waists if you happened to just walk by or past them? This would have been during the 80's. I was about 6 or 7 at the time. I'm sure the whole idea of them intermittently lashing was a weird interpretation of how Jesus lashed out in the temple at the money lenders. I don't recall lending pocket money at usurious interest rates to my friends in the vicinity of God's house funnily enough. Interestingly, you don't really see them around today doing it and at the time I'm sure they didn't lash out at fully grown men. The prospect of getting a punch to the jaw being non-existent when you lash out at a child.

    Priest: 1

    Baby: 0

The priest has quick hands for a man his age, the baby didnt stand a chance, he learned a valuable lesson. Where was the outrage when mr miyagi got a few sly digs in on daniel san? Different times...
