I've just got my first car, everything's perfect bar the doors have to be locked and unlocked manually.
I've changed the battery in the key but still nothing.
There's no noise, nothing happening when locking and unlocking but it's fine when using the key itself.
    Any ideas?

Edit - It will lock/unlock but you have to have your hand basically beside the wing mirror

Did you get two keys ?

If so, have you tried both ?

Just the one key, I thought it didn't unlock at all but turns out it does but only when the key is right up to the sensor

    Is fob old?
    Do you press harder sometimes?
It could be the solder inside the fob.

Either way it is probably time to get a second key.

It's probably the original fob, doesn't look any newer than you'd expect.
It works but you have to basically have your hand pressed to the door.
