    Hi I'm just wondering I'm Irish i still live in Ireland I'm divorced through Irish court my boyfriend is from Mauritius he got married in Mauritius he got his divorce through Mauritius court he is living in Ireland 10 years we plan to get married in February 2019 but we were told by the registery office that his divorce papers have to be sent to rosscommon because his divorce has to be regionalised in Ireland his ex wife also still lives in Mauritius has any one ever be through this i would appreciate help on this

    He will need to prove that he is free to marry in Ireland, which, in his case, means proving that he is in fact divorced.

    You need to find out exactly what documents are required by the Irish registry office to enable the marriage to go ahead, and then get in contact with the Mauritius registry office (or whatever it is called) and try to get those documents.

    Here is a webpage from a Mauritius government site, which has info on the kind of services they provide.

    There is also a section specifically dealing with requests from abroad and listing what documents they send overseas (or, that can be collected by a proxy, to be sent overseas). They seem to be called 'Civil Status Certificates' and cover a number of different things.
