Hey just looking for some info on registry office weddings? We are looking at doing one and just have parents our little one and two witnesses. Any advice would be great, prices, where in Ireland is there a nice one as I've been in the one in Dublin city and I just wasn't mad on it! Just so confused where to start! Thanks in advance! x

Your registry office fee is €200 (it’s a processing and registration charge really) right now irregardless of which registry office you use. Then there are more fees when you go to get your marriage cert etc but should be less then €50.
The registry offices are functional HSE work spaces in a public service building so are pretty much uniform. I think you can decorate the room to a small extent with vases of flowers etc immediately before hand as long as you put the room back as it was immediately before hand.
Around 20 minutes is the maximum time you’ll be in there altogether.
Some of the HSE buildings might happen to be set in nice gardens if it’s photographs your thinking of? There are restrictions on what and who can be photographed within the building. If you decide on a registry office be sure and ask the registrar all these things before you pay your €200 upfront payment as it’s non refundable.
Have a list of written questions as some things you might take for granted won’t be available.
