    Hi all,

I went about changing the seals in the inlet manifold on my 2010 Peugeot 5008 yesterday.

All went well until I got to removing the HP lines to get the manifold out. They disappear down the back of the engine, and I cant feel the unions. The EGR cooler is above the common rail, but I can't figure out how to remove it.

I undid the two exhaust type clamps, removed the coolant hoses, but the bugger still wouldnt budge.

I managed to replace the front manifold seals just about, but I really need the HP lines gone to do the back ones.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for that Row!

I will give it another go when I get the orings.

Is it just me or is the engine bay on this car a pain in the ass to work with? Even with the scuttle panel and insulation removed I couldn't see the back of the engine to find that bolt, and I was kneeling on top of the car! I will need to do the timing chain again soon, and I am seriously thinking about taking the whole engine out.

No problem...There's very little room to play with on the 5008/3008's compared to the 407's/308's etc in regard to access...Is the camchain rattling..?

It's probably easier to undo the egr (2x 8mm bolts), the egr cooler (1x 10mm nut, 1x 8mm bolt) then undo the metal return hose on inlet manifold then just push back. Then get your 17mm crows foot spanner head and undo the 4x HP lines.

Is it the 8v or 16v engine?
