How is this right that when applying for a medical card WFP is not considered an income. Yet when me and my partner applied for a council house we were told to sign off working family payment as we were earning to much! This Society is gone down hill for them to tell us that because my partner is working only earns 456 a week with two kids that we have to go and get rid of our extra small amount of 100 euro a week with WFP because were 500 yes just 500 over the threshold of yearly income. Am I wrong in saying that WFP should not be considered as an income? Were paying 850 rent a month as well as other bills were left with nothing im left counting the days to children's allowance so i can actually treat my boys. That extra 100 does go along way it also gives us the back to school footwear allowance. This year i dont know how im going to do without it. Now that im on the list should I attempt to sign back onto WFP or do they check up on that sort of thing?

If you want a council house then you obviously need to be eligible for it.If WFP puts you over then you have a decision to make .
WFP or council house, there has to be some cut off points in place when applying for payments/help.

You may be of the opinion that it shouldn't, but the simple fact is that at the moment it is.

However, this is an issue that has been raised in the Dáil on a number of occasions recently. A review of the income eligibility limits for social housing is currently drawing to a close and is due to be published shortly, so the situation regarding FIS/WFP may change in the next few months.

So I'd advise you to keep an eye out for the report.

As for claiming WFP again, now that you're on the housing list, only you/your partner can decide whether it's worth the risk. It may be that you have undertaken to notify the Council of any changes in your circumstances, in which case, if they discover that you're getting WFP again and didn't tell them, they may decide to remove you from the list.
