    Hi all,

I am interested in purchasing a 2010 Opel Insignia from a private seller in Ireland.

The colour of the car is Grey. I checked car registration number on the NCT website and it lists the colour of the car as blue.

What could be the reasons for this? Should I be suspicious?

    Thanks in advanced.

Picture? Colours can be in the eye of the beholder. You might see grey when it's actually officially blue.

You’ll often see the registration system list cars as colours you wouldn’t associate the paint on the car with.

Try and find an identically coloured one for sale and see what colour NCT lists it as.

I'd be more concerned about buying a 2010 Insignia, that vintage of Insignia doesn't have a great reputation for reliability.

    Thanks for all your replies.

I have decided to import a newer insignia (2013-2014) from the UK. The prices are decent, and the specs and reliability seem to be better.

    Thanks again.
