Hi not sure where to actually post this but wondering if someone can help or Mod can move to right section.

My Partner recently gave birth to a new baby and is now thinking of not going back to work (we live in another county to work) so she will look for work closer to our new home.

Her current job is in a small setting so only 3/4 people work there, she wants to give her boss enough time to hire and doesn't want to leave her short, on the flip side does this mean her Maternity benefit finishes? or does she still get that up until the 24 weeks is finished regardless if she handed in her notice etc...

also regarding holiday days Bank holiday etc... is it cheeky to hand in notice now dated the end of the maternity leave so she gets these days? will that make a difference to employer?
