    Hi

I am on Seetec Jobpath and i have recently been offered a job but it doesn't start for a month. I was wondering when was the best time to tell them this?

I have been asked to go into them on Thursday to "attend and engage in JobPath activities".

Obviously i'd prefer to keep receiving social welfare for as long as i can.

    Thanks

When you start work, you sign off social welfare. Then get ready for the phone calls from seetac looking for your employer's details. Then they will phone you every few weeks to see how your new job is going and if you are having any problems in work.

You do not need to tell seetec just go down to intreo and tell them or sign off online. You send Jobpath an email message immediately referring them to section 10 of the non-fatal offences against the person Act (1997) notifying that if they contact you again then you being making a Gardai report for that offence and all others since your first day with them. Don't worry about ever getting refered back to them again. You can use same act to avoid them then before you're even due to start.
