    Hi.
Can anyone please tell me where the headlamp warning buzzer is located. I have a vw Passat 04 and I think it needs replacing.

It’s highly unlikely that there is anything wrong with the buzzer.

It’s probably a faulty drivers door lock not recognising when you open the door. Therefore not sending the signal for the buzzer to sound.

I had a google about that and apparently when the doors are unlocked and open the lights inside should "not" come on which would mean the door switch is the problem. My lights do come on so that's why i thought it was the buzzer. Not sure if this is correct.

The lights will come on when you unlock the car regardless of whether the door lock is working or not.

If you switch off the engine and take the key out of the ignition the interior lights will come on. Sit in the car without opening any doors and wait for them to turn off, then open the drivers door, the interior lights should come on again, if they don't then the lock is faulty.

Alternatively does the door open warning show up on the instrument cluster when you open the drivers door with the engine running?

Bingo..... Lights never came on. Is it a big job to fix/replace this switch?

The switch is part of the door lock mechanism. We usually just replace the whole lot but some people have had success doing a repair on them, you might find something on google/youtube if you want to go down that route.
