Late night cuckoo

    Never before heard a cuckoo at night.. One just flew past the window calling.. 10.40 pm and dark,, no street lights either..Is this common?

    The cuckoo was calling here at 1am one or two nights - back earlier in May - has fallen silent the last week or so.
