ASTEC alarm tamper fault

    Hi all,
I have an ASTEC Fusion (I think) intruder alarm. A PIR has started to produce a Tamper alarm when the alarm is off and someone walks in front of the PIR. Its detecting normal activation as a tamper. Resistance issue? The resistance jumpers in the PIR are both set to 4k7. Does that mean that "No activation" gives 4k7 and activation will give 9k4? Is 9k4 too high and the control panel is detecting this as an open, which is a tamper condition?
But why would it only start doing it now? Is there any way to disable Tamper altogether? Who needs it inside a house?
    Thanks for reading.

It would be really down to how the PiR is wired and can you change it.

If its set to Duel 4k7 then 4k7 is closed, 9k4 is zone open loop open or shorted would register a tamper.
