The way jeans fit around the ankles these days

I came across a nice pair of slim fit jeans recently. I tried them on and thought they fit lovely. However when I put on my shoes, I really like them. The problem is that I'm a tall skinny guy, and I have this perception that they would make me look skinnier than what I do ordinarily... which mightn't even be true. The other thing, is that my feet are a bit bigger than average, so given that they'd be so tight around the ankles, such jeans might make me look like I skinny with big feet.

What I would like is a pair of slims that would just get a tiny bit wider by the ankle, to sort of cover the shoe. As anyone ever had this thought?

I've attached two photos to explain the way I feel. With the physique of the guy in the first photo, he can really pull off the skinny jeans. The interesting thing about the second photo is that it looks good from in front, but when you look at it from behind, at the bottom, it looks a bit gammy. Right?

The Hollister store in Dundrum doesn't even do boot cut. It's just 'slim straight', 'skinny' and 'super skinny'. What ever happened to 'average fit'

The jeans on the second guy are too long for him.

Average jeans went out of fashion. You'll have trouble finding them in places like Hollister, etc.

Slim cut jeans should give you enough cover on the shoe without being stuck to your ankle.

the second photo looks much better.
A lot of places just aren't doing boot cut / straight leg jeans anymore, the fashion seems to be aimed at men who don't possess testicles or calves wider than twigs anymore.

It must be part of the Feminazi agenda

I think levi 511s set a good example as to how jeans should go at the ankles.

Bloke in the second photo just looks like he's disgraced himself.

It's amazing how strongly yourself and the second poster disagree! It confuses me!

confused.png Who's disagreeing with who? I might have pointed out that I was focusing on the back view shot. But, you say yeself they look gammy.

Second poster, Batistuta9, says they're too long. I agree. I'd also go as far as to say the guy has absolutely no arse (No Homo!) and so those denims are just hanging off that belt like a pair of wet flannels. Looks bloody awful.

Anyway, that's just the view of an aging hermit who's probably never even seen a pair of these 'Skinny Jeans' in action. Are those in the first shot 'skinny'? Can't say as I'd have noticed and thought; " Aha. That buck's wearing skinny jeans. "

Neither of those two jeans in the first post are skinny jeans.

Oh, I meant the second poster after the OP.

I think they're either slim or skinny in first photo. But they're definitely not super skinny. Hollister have 'super skinny'.

Slim taperd are what i wear, they come in perfectly at the bottom and id wear them with shoes or runners.

They are hard to come by though.

I remember seeing slim tapered before and thinking they looked good. Do these look like slim tapered?

Ah no, whatever about the calves, there's still plenty of room around the crotch area in most of them... apart from the super skinny fit hollister ones for the millennial phaggots.

Boot cut jeans haven't been ok to wear in public since the early 2000's.

They always have a small selection of them in River Island, The likes of radar would have them too but you be looking at over 100 in there for a good pair of gstar jeans.
