    Hi all,

Looking for recommendations on a budget laptop for playing games watching Netflix etc. (Don't really have space for a desktop)

Would like to be able to play on medium or above at 1080p with solid frame rate.

    CS:GO
    Total War: Thrones of Britannia
    GTA 5

Budget €500 (probably dreaming at that price but I don't know much about computers)

    TIA

Yeah, you are dreaming at that price unless you're talking 500 bitcoins/ethereums/litecoins. :oA cursory glance on pcspecialist.co.uk doesn't have anything with a discrete graphics card for less than €710, and even then you're looking at just a GTX1050 with 4GB of RAM and a quad-core 2.5GHz Intel i5, which are the bare minimum specs for GTA 5, never mind being able to run medium settings.

If you can stretch to €600, you'll get something OK-ish that will run CSGO at ultra 1080p, GTA:V at medium 1080p and no idea about Total War but looking at the requirements it would run very well.

    This for example.

But it wouldn't be so good at the very latest stuff, if you plan playing new modern games as well, I would say a GTX1050 is the bare minimum at about €700.

I just bought a new Laptop, I paid more it was 699 from www.komplett.ie.

Asus laptop, 256SSD, 8gh Ram and I5 8th Generation procrsses 15.6inch screen. Really happy with it. Give the website a search put in the minimum criteria you need. Took 3/4 days for shipping and came with the 3 point adaptor.
