Any particularly good drives out there? Somewhere you enjoy driving.

    Thanks!

There's lots of scenic drives in the Wicklow Mountains, but the roads themselves aren't great and you'll almost certainly get stuck at regular intervals behind American tourists in hire cars driving at 40km/h everywhere.

As mentioned above M1(North)get off at Junction 18, take Carlingford/Greenore Rd as far as Bellurgan, head up 'magic hill' do that thing, then head on up for The Long Woman's Grave, enjoy the beautiful Cooley Peninsula, head down towards Omeath enjoy.. Then make your way in the Coast rd to Carlingford, and then Greenore, make your way along the Irish sea coastline eventually coming out at Lilly Finnegans old pub.. There's loads of FANTASTIC scenery all in that area, to much to mention. Enjoy.

I'm in a 3 cylinder 1L Picanto so that probably won't be too much of an issue :pac:

    Thanks for all the suggestions!

Definitely going to try the suggestions off the M1 - Drive up there fairly frequently.

If you're a Northsider a quick spin is Clontarf > Howth (lap of) > Coast road to Portmarnock > Malahide and back home. Lots a curves per mile!

Don't forget the rolling roadblocks there most weekends, cyclists ;)

N81 out past blessington, take the left turn for Hollywood and that'll lead you on a nice road to glendalough. From there you can either head for the M11 or if you have the time you can take the Sally gap back.

I'd be careful with that one, as you might meet CiniO on those roads.
Just go through boards post history to check how many posters said they'd never wished to meet me on the road :D:D:D

Came down from Banbridge, to Rathfriland then on to Hilltown, Kilkeel got the Ferry at Greencastle and drove from Greenore to Omeath and then re-joined the N1/M1 and home to Dublin. Very pleasant and great run for the car. I'll try some more of these over the next wee while. Thanks again for the suggestions.
