    I don't see how this is "anti-theft".

Everything opens from the inside out, zipper is hidden etc. I wouldnt call it anti-theft, rather 'annoying to open' as I've found out.

I used their terminology from the site.

I guess it is more of a deterrent or harder to steal from when it is closed.
Or as cherryghost said, 'annoying to open' :D
    Bought one anyway. :)

Is it because its so ugly, who would want to steal it?

Is it just me or is it the most bizarre product listings ever. It is like they mashed the description of the bag with a drone and a camera or something. Or is the backpack also a drone? It appears that the USB connection is just that, a connection. It doesn't actually do anything.

I think though it's hard to be certain due to the confusing description that the back pack makers might be targeting drone users, hence the multiple references to drones.

(Either that or the bag can fly up and down and do 360° etc :D)

If that's the case, I'm also guessing that the usb port on the bag might be there as a conduit between a drone mobile charging unit and the phone, ie I can charge my phone or controller from my drones battery using usb cables.

I have seen that on a few Chinese sites. Often they have changed the product in their listing more than once after they sell out. The person in charge of updating the listing probably doesn't read English very well and maybe leaves it there for fear changing it might be the wrong thing to do.

I've actually been looking at similar bags on Amazon for €60, so I took the punt on it. Worst case scenario it's a cheapy school bag for my daughter!

Are these the same as the ones on designist for €90?

The one "Like in Picture" does not appear to be even close to a backpack. More like a pencil case.......

This is a fake cheap knockoff of the original Bobby backpack.

I have the original version. The original is waterproof, stabproof and while hard to access from the back, it's much easier.

I've seen a fake version of this before and the USB port had fallen off and not nearly as many pockets.

The idea is that in a crowd say at festival or queuing for something a thief can open your bag from behind you.

I thought the idea is a good one, on the original bag. There's is an irony in buying a rip off of an anti theft bag though.

Believe it or not I saw an instagram ad for this, did some research and ended up dropping €90 on the original Bobby direct from XD. Ordered Monday and it arrived yesterday. Perfect everyday bag with space for my drone.

Don’t think it’s relevant for this product but for similar ones which do come with a actual battery, make sure that it’s removable. If not watch out bringing this on flights, it may not be allowed due to some new rules. A few companies closed as new aviation rules made their business model defunct

o They responded to my PayPal claim saying they apologise for the mistake ,ehhh yes right you mistakenly sent a mini fan instead of a backpack 😂😂
I’m guessing they hoped like above they they would just accept it & not fight .Theyll make a good bit of cash from people doing this
Have to say on principle I’ll fight it not for the sake of €5 but because they’ll make a tidy little profit from people who won’t be bothered because it’s not much or not worth the hassle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,507 ✭✭✭Carroller

I can't dispute it on PayPal so I've to wait until July 22 to dispute it with themselves directly

I think it’s a scam that is becoming more common with these type of sites. I got caught with a camera linked from here before. They claimed out of stock on what I ordered and got sent an inferior replacement. It almost seems like they delay deliveries so that customers are less likely to dispute. Worse thing was I got stung for €25 customs. When I complained I was eventually offered a discount on next order which obviously never used.

Generally I find if it’s too good to be true then it is.

Most people would be using something like this as a carry on, I can't see why anyone would chuck a backpack in the hold! But that's still a good point and I didn't realise smart luggage was a thing.

Just to say I put in a claim with PayPal and they refunded it straight away .Think they’re chance their arm and will get money from people who aren’t bothered chasing it

So mine arrived and I got a bag!

Although the bag is more designed for a small child, as it's about 6 inches by 2 inches!

It does have a usb port on it though
