Ive a few hoggets for the first time in a long time. My father convinced me to hold onto them for the summer. Not set up at all for them. No dipping is the main problem.
So my question is whats the work around? I'm shearing them tomorrow and dosing them for lung worm, what else do I need to look out for?
    They're on good land

    Thanks,
    G&R

Spray them rather than dipping if you wish, I spray mine with summer dip every 6 weeks and dose them for worms at the same time, first dose should be a white dose. If they are lame run them thr a foot bath at the same time.

I spray mine with summer dip, diluted with water. Never any bother from flies or maggots. Also give them Heptavac P at the end of summer, as recommended ie two injection's 4/6 weeks apart. And once Autumn comes start dosing them for fluke, vet recommends Fluckiver and Trodax at 6 week intervals for fluke.

how do you manage selling your lambs, that summer dip has a long withdrawal period, ie, not supposed to slaughter for 40days after using i think.
used to do it here, but it'd barely last 30 days.

I don't sell my lambs until the following spring, so no problem.

Think cyperguard is 14 days withdrawal.

Adult sheep should be good for worms but in any event the ivomec classic 1ml will kill worms as well as stopping starching and lice 2 shots 7 days apart. Two fluke doses if you have/had wet ground.
Get the click pour on not the click extra, I heard its not as good. One pour on of it but wait about 3 weeks after shearing. Then footbath regularly.
Adding more hardship and expense to a small margin enterprise does not make sense.
