Partner claiming JSA while I'm on maternity benefit

    Hi all,

My partner currently claims Carer's Allowance for his family member (214 p/w). I usually work full time but have just been signed onto Health and Safety Benefit (155.10 p/w) and I'll be transferred to Maternity Benefit (240 p/w) on the 26th of the month. My partner is now no longer needed to be his family members carer so he'll be trying to transfer to JSA while he's searching for a job. (He has been looking for a job for many months but has been a carer for almost 8 years so it's difficult to even get a response to job adverts). Anyone know what JSA rate we're looking at? Especially since I was working up until this point. (Just to add, we are cohabiting and the social know this)

    Thanks

Is the family member being cared for moving into a nursing home?

No his sister has decided to care for the family member in her home as we have a young child and another due in four weeks.
