I'm possibly in the hunt for a mk4 golf r32, looking for one in deep blue pearl, full leather if possible, 3 door, want one with a sunroof aswell and usual other stuff etc, completely standard as possible, relatively good condition, don't mind a few marks, mileage wise about 100,000 maybe a little more, up to date service history, everything working exactly as it is, might consider silver or black, would I get one for under 5 grand?

Spotted a blue one on my way to limerick recently and thought it looked fabulous

Let me know what's out there

A quick look shows the cheapest on eBay or pistonheads to be 5k sterling.
You're looking for a specific spec with low ish miles and fsh so it's doubtful you'll get one for €5k.
They have started to increase in value the past year or so.

Yea I know, there is one on piston heads with 145,000 miles, but it's silver, don't know if that's high mileage or average or what, it has the spec I like, yea there making good money alright, I spose I'll just have to wait until a blue one pops up

I would't worry about the higher mileage on the engine side of things - that VR lump is one of the best engines VW ever made - practically bullet proof. High mileage will be an issue on consumables though such as suspension and clutch.

Recent service history is very important especially evidence of haldex (the 4wd system essentially) service - oil every 20k filter every second oil change. If there was no evidence of that i'd walk away.

Yea, I'll definitely make sure it's had the Haldex oil change and filter change, and the other important bits aswell,
