    Hi ,

Anyone got advice on installing a timer on an Emersion. Is this something that you would have to get an electrician for?

    Thanks

Immersion timers aren’t that complicated, something like a Flash Immermat 31100 has very clear instructions and should be an easy DIY - it really comes down to how competent you are.

Not trying to be smart or anything but the fact that you need to ask tells me you should get an electrician in.

Just make sure you get the right timer , rated for 20a I think, some of the lower rated ones look very similar
