    I'm looking at purchasing a 2008 diesel 1.6 - just looking for some reviews - I have heard the key can be a problem. Smashing to drive but I don't want a headache at owning a nice car !

    That PSA engine has patchy reliability, the 2.0 litre is a safer bet imo.

    Not really when you take total running costs into consideration, the 2.0 litre models are rare enough though to find here. Volvo parts are expensive enough too but they are a very comfy car. I had a S40 at one time which the C30 is based on.

    The quality is surely felt as soon as you go to open the door ! Yes expensive enough but I think I have a good garage, just to get the right car. I owned a BMW 1.6 - it was nice to drive as well
