Had the 4 wheel covers from my 2006 Skoda Octavia stolen last night cable ties securing them cut. Why anyone would want 12 year old plastic wheel covers I dont know.

Just wondering if I buy new ones is there anyway to secure them to the car that would make them difficult to remove?

People would steal anything, had a mate tell me his wipers were stolen last month.

I'd say the person who wanted yours wanted them for a specific car highly unlikely they have a 2nd car requiring another set.

Happens a lot as original ones are expensive with logo.

Put on 2 ties and hope for the best

These people have cutters and no fear.

Did you have metal or plastic ones?

Depends how well equipped they come I guess..

I'd just put another set on as normal.

Lightning is unlikely to strike twice and even if it does it took 12 years for the first set to be robbed.

or get a set of alloys, they don't seem to be particularly steal-able nowadays and harder to nick anyway, bound to be some for sale if you cast around

    Thanks all.
I had plastic tie wraps and I was thinking about the metal ones.
Alloys might be worth more than the car :-)

As for replacing them maybe the person whole stole them might see them and say oh! new ones I'll have them :-)
