    Hi all,

We just need to advise that Electric Ireland Customer Service by telephone (1850 372 372) is now unavailable (apart from Pay As You Go/PAYG electricity) until 8am Tuesday due to essential system maintenance and upgrading taking place currently. Your Account Online and online Switching is also unavailable until Tuesday.

PAYG advisors are available however until 8pm today and tomorrow as they have access to meter information. Their landline telephone number is (021) 4868580. We are here on Social Media (Facebook and Twitter as well as Boards.ie) until 6pm today, Friday, to provide general information. We will then also return Tuesday morning.

It may be stormy this weekend, so in the event of a power-line fault, telephone ESB Networks, 1850 372 999 (24-hour) - they look after the electricity network for customers of all electricity providers. See this page on their website also. For gas safety concerns, phone Gas Networks Ireland, 1850 20 50 50 (also 24-hour).

PAYG electricity customers: credit-friendly hours will be in effect from 5pm this evening until 9am Monday morning as standard. Bank Holiday Monday is not a credit-friendly day, so ensure to top up via one of the following methods before then if necessary.

If you are sending us a message here on Boards.ie over the long weekend for us to reply to on Tuesday, ensure not to post any personal details publicly.

See the Electric Ireland website for information also.

    Best regards,
    Una
