My wife is going claiming illness benefit and today got the letter to say she will be getting 127.80 based on her wage but getting nothing for the children. We have 3 children. I work and bring home wage os just over 400e a week

Why isn't she getting payment for the kids
I tried ringing the department, no one is answering and the local welfare is closed today

Your wife does not qualify for an increase for your children because your income is too high. Threshold is 400 euros- you are just above it:

    Look under "No IQC payable":

    Quote:
"You do not get an IQC if you are claiming Illness Benefit, Injury Benefit, Health and Safety Benefit, Jobseeker's Benefit or Disablement Benefit (Incapacity Supplement), Invalidity Pension, Carer's Benefit or State Pension (Transition) and State Pension (Contributory) and the gross income of your spouse, civil partner or cohabitant is over €400."
