Should 2FM give Eoghan McDermott the breakfast show?

Who's Eoghan McDermott?

I don't know how well this would work but I think a swap with the Breakfast Republic team would be okay, so long as they find a way to make it work. BR has been on for four and a 1/2 years now, and EMcD has been on drive for nearly three, so I think with his profile rising across the world with his job on Love Island Australia, I think putting Eoghan on breakfast wouldn't be such a bad idea. They could rebrand BR as "Teatime Republic" or "Drivetime Republic" or whatever, same madness just later in the day. I don't know if it would fit, but just making a suggestion.
Hypothetical schedule:
06:30am The Eoghan McDermott Breakfast Show
09:00am The Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene
12:00pm Tracy Clifford
14:00 Dunno, maybe Chris & Ciara?
16:30 Teatime Republic with Jen, Bernard & Keith

I like his show I just think it's a bit too effervescent for the morning. At the same time what's there now with Lauddie Ryan and Bernard o Shea and some other dude is not the best TBH. I wonder if Jen zamparelli will return, I think she makes the morning show work.

I used to work with him years ago in a nightclub in dublin, before he got (semi?) famous. Hes some eejit of a boy, and a terrible barman. But had women hanging out of him.

On that basis, I say yes, give him the breakfast show

2 fm is a music station..Too much talk as it is,but that shedule would have way too much "banter"...

Moat of the lads' jokes go right over Lottie's head, whereas Jennifer is a perfect fit. It'll be a lot better when she comes back.

As for Eoghan, as long as there's a way to avoid him I don't mind.

That's why the sound quality has been so bad on his 2FM show recently. He has been phoning in.

The sooner they get shot of Gerry Ryans young one the better. Makes me switch off very regularly. Nepotism is alive and well.

As for McDermott, he could be ok of he stopped trying to force the show to be so overly metrosexual.

Bring back Zamparelli and the morning show is fine

Yeah, apparently he's in London to do the voiceovers for LI, even though it is the Australian version he is working from ITV.

Heard a bit of his show last week alright, and the sound was terrible. How can a national broadcaster have such poor standards when it comes to an outside broadcast?

Seriously, some one-man band internet stations would have better audio than what they have had on that outside broadcast.

I think Dan Healy should make her full time substitute for him when he's away.
