Thanks for the heads up I ran out of Stash space last week and have been juggling resources a lot since then. On one hand I know inventory management is a part of the game but at the same time have OCD about resource collection and will spend a lot of time grabbing and processing everything rather than playing more directly. Pretty much the first thing I do whenever I load up an ES or Fallout game is look for carry and inventory de-limiting mods for that reason. Also the devs admitted the Stash is only so limited for technical resource reasons, how many objects are bound and tracked per account rather than an intended core gameplay mechanic.

Would rather play this on PC, but I see it can be had for PS4 for £8.50 on Amazon or €12.09 from Argos.

Will the Wastelanders Edition do the job?

I'd snatch it up for 12 euro from argos. The Wastelanders edition is the new name, just means the Wastelanders update (NPC's added with a new questline) is included but it's a free update if you have the original edition.

Have a reservation in my nearest, thanks.

If I was to buy the regular edition on Steam for €15.99 then it still will update to the Wastelanders Edition I assume, and no need to buy the actual wastelanders deluxe edition?

Game sounds like a proper challenge.

Yupp, the Wastelanders Deluxe edition basically gives you extras like CAMP items, resources, skins, etc. The regular Wastelander edition is the base game and the free Wastelanders update.

It's currently included in the Msoft Game Pass (and with them buying Bethesda I'd say it'll stay on there for quite a while). One month of that is the same as the sale purchase price for just F76, with access to a lot more games.

Cheers. Right now I dont always get time to play that much so I might be better served spending the money on 1 game that I can dip in and out of for however long I want than limit myself to a month.

If you can play on either PC or PS4 I would play on PC. Fallout 4 and 76 in particular run a bit rough on console because of the creaky, outdated engine.

There are a lot of frame-drops and it can often feel janky as well. I originally played F76 on the Xbox One X and even though the visuals were much better than the standard Xbox One, there was a lot of framerate issues and just generally a sluggish feeling.

Just got an email off GreenmanGaming, FO76 for €14,08.

The PS4 I have to share with kids, PC is just mine so I think I will go with PC version if it also runs better.

    Find level 10 guns.

All I'm finding though is level 5 ones

I'm the same, kept finding level 5 when i hit level 10 but they were taking out level 30 enemies so not too bad. I was finding class weapons but they were levels 25-50.

There isn't a massive difference between one or two weapon tiers (per 5 levels) imho. I spec'd heavily into science and crafting early on and I think good Mods make a bigger difference, moreso for perks that match your combat style and weapon specialisation. I've had decent use ofsome well crafted/mod'd/perk-specialised weapons up to 20 levels beyond their base.

And for anyone not sure if they want to buy the game or not, its free to play for another 3 days, on all platforms.
It is a 75gb download on PC so dont wait till the last day to give it a shot.

Most guns and armour only get new improved versions every 10 levels, and they're staggered a bit. Only exception I think is the Hunting Rifle.

So Combat Rifles can only be level 20/30/40/50, while Handmade Rifles are 15/25/35/45 etc.

I thought it was crap game? A lot ye playing it on ps4 now did they patch it that it’s good now ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,361 ✭✭✭Homelander

To be honest it gets tiring answering the same question over and over, if you read the last few pages yes it's good now.

Level 14 now and once I hit 10, I found a load of level 10 guns up by the airport, how come vendors give F all for guns? seems you're better off just to scrap them for parts ?

    With a level 5 weapon  ?
You will find them, keep looking. It takes a while and then suddenly you will start seeing them everywhere. Are you doing side quests? You find all sorts of things in side quests

I haven't come across many side quests tbh and I've been doing loads of exploring.

Brady, speaking as someone who played the trial last year for 15 minutes and hated it to now picking it up a couple of weeks back and loving it, 10 hours in, I'd absolutely recommend it.

I have a level 5 rifle that does unreal damage and i always have plenty of ammo, the reloading after every shot is a killer though. I picked up tons of side and misc quests. Look at posters and read files you find as they can kick off side quests.

I'm only playing it alone and love it. Well i was before i sold my ps4. I'm actually trying to get a loan of a ps4 just to play this until ps5 comes out :pac:

You can play alone totally. Or like most do join a team, Usually a casual team, for the extra xp etc.
People just drop in and out of public teams as they need.
Bought this when it was half price in July. Needed something for the extra time on my hands. Definitely worth the money in my opinion.
Just strated looking at nuclear winter as an option as well....practice needed :-)

It's boring. I can forgive the numerous bugs, but you can't forgive it for being boring.

Charisma plays a big part in NPC vendor prices, but generally you pay 2.25× base price, and sell at about 15% base price. So guns are basically only good for scrap parts, unless they are high tier legendaries and you've already redeemed all your scrip for the day.
