    Hi all
Just wondering has anyone done, or is doing any of the athletic x programmes? I’m into body weight training and I’ve watched a lot of Jeff’s videos on YouTube and he seems like one of the good guys. Can anyone advise if they got good results using the programme? I’ll be looking to build lean muscle, but try and get my body fat down to in and around 10%!

Can only speak to his free videos but they are excellent. I imagine anything he keeps behind a paywall would be worth the investment if you need more advice.

Have never done any of his programmes, but do enjoy watching his videos on YouTube.

I only started his 7 min ab workout, I find it really good, can't comment on results atm :)

Ive watched jeff a few years now and done a few of his programs, if your into bodyweight training he has a bodyweight only program called athlean xero which i saw some great results on, the only area where the limitations show is the back and bicep development due to the options being extremely limited with absolutely no equipment but he still has some creative work rounds, what i often did was swap in some exercises like pull ups to get and better training effect on that area, overall its very tough especially some of the conditioning workouts but worth the money in my opinion

So I’ve taken the plunge and started the ax1 program. Done the first “strength” training last night and I’m really feeling it this morning. Done a 6 min ab workout after aswell. I like the mix of strength and conditioning.
It is a bit different to the beach body dvds I’m used to such as insanity, but I’ll probably get used to it

I've done the AX1 and AX2 programs and found them pretty enjoyable. Definitely noticed some gains and improved my overall strength and fitness.

I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a decent home workout - but just be careful about form. In his youtube videos he talks a lot about form and proper execution of different exercises, but in the program videos he doesn't really cover this at all.

Yeah I’ve noticed this too. The YouTube videos seem to be of a higher standard then the actual program videos. It’s just that the program gives you a plan to work to.

The youtube videos are definitely of a higher quality - I reckon the AX body weight one is probably better since it is a lot more recent, but I haven't tried it or heard from anyone who has.

Also I have a set of powerblocks - I can't imagine doing AX1/2 without them, which is an expensive investment.

Are power blocks the adjustable dumbbells? I just have 4 regular dumbbells set up with two heavy two light medium for the L presses.

Yeah they are the toaster looking things Jeff uses. You can get them from mcsport.ie. expensive but worth it imo... provided you get the use out of them.

Have to say, Im following the free video and the 6pack promise app and I have to say mightily impressed, not only with quality but results too. Long way to go still but happy. The explanation and science behind the videos is solid and the person I am says if I understand that it makes the exercises easy. A lot of "alternative" options for exercises I was doing and my god to they hurt in a good way.

Have gone as far as buying the AX-1 program but wont start that until end of month post a wedding Im going too and get a good run into xmas with it.
