Now a PAYE earner; still required to submit form 11

    Hi all,

I was a company director (nothing big, used it when contracting in IT) for several years over 10 years ago. Since then I have wound up the company and have been a PAYE earner ever since.

However I am still required to fill out Form 11 each year. A few years ago I submitted a Form 12 but was told I had to do Form 11. Form 11 works but is a lot of paper for the amount of info I now submit!

How do I come off the “self assessment” to allow me to do form 12 or ROS as my colleagues do?

    Thanks in advance!
    Ronan.

That's strange, no need to fill out a form 11 if the company is wound up. Did you explain this to someone in Revenue.

Form12 is where you earn a little self employed income. A full form 11 is a pain alright, especially if you have no Schedule D income.

Have you cancelled your income tax registration? Should be all that is required, unless you have some other source of income such as rental income.

Cancel your IT registration unless you have non PAYE income you need to declare.
