We are in our house about 2 years now, but our lawn needs tlc.
It's patchy, has a few thistles in it here and there and plenty of clover growing. Can anyone give advice as to where to start to get rid of these problems. We've spread manure on it and still no luck! We cut it short also is there anything we can get

    Hi there,
You can buy a bag of lawn sand in any garden centre or most places that sell plants and gardening stuff. Just spread it around the lawn thinly when there's a sign of rain. If it doesn't rain you have to water it in. The area should turn black and within a week or so the grass (and only the grass) comes back strong and green.
But do have the lawn mower ready because it's like the lawn is on steroids for awhile.

Oh and have a box of lawn seed at the ready to fill the gaps once the lawn returns.

Thanks came across greenfeet OK but hadn't heard anything about them. Do they do a one off consultation?
