Not sure if this is right place. Supposed to stay in certain 5 star hotel tonight. They just rang and told us they have to cancel room as the guests can't vacate as they are sick. Can anyone advise on what I can do? Absolutely ridiculous

Are they refunding you? That is all you are entitled to.

    Is that really all?

On the day I'm supposed to arrive. Because the current guest is sick?

Have you prepaid and was it booked through booking.com or Expedia or directly?

Generally, the hotel should find you an equivalent room in a hotel of the same standard and at the same net cost to you.
