    Guys,

Late last year Dublin City council repaired a footpath outside my house.
It’s actually the ramped driveway into my garden.

A week later the Water Department working on behalf of IW dig up the path to repair a leak and they only filled in with tar. To date the tar is still breaking apart and is not level. It divots and is a nuisance for people with prams, walking sticks and anyone using a wheelchair.

Dublin City council told me that the tar is temporary and it should be returned to as it was very soon, but that was 7 months ago.

Who do I contact to get this repaired.

You should see the roads and streets of Dundalk after them.

Still no reply for here or from the email complaint I sent in on 25th May.
Absolutely shocked as the manner in which this large state company deals with complaints at this stage.

Constant PM’s stating that you are chasing the relevant department hold no merit unfortunately.

At this stage I think I’ll dig it up myself and attempt a repair myself.

Nearly 2 months later and still nothing.
Is there an official complaints procedure that I can explore.

You guys have ignored my emails and requests on here.

Niamh, have you no response as to why this has been ignored?

I have emailed the complaints to IW on 25th May and again on 11th June to which I’ve had no reply also.

Is there a regulator that I can escalate this to?

    Hi Kceire,

Your previous comment asked for the complaints process, which we can provide publicly.

However we are unable to discuss account specific information on a public forum.

I would be happy to investigate this matter for you. Please PM me your full name, address, contact number, your email address and previous reference number, and I will look into this immediately.

    Kind regards,
    Niamh
