Intermitted Fasting and Time restirced eating ,

    hey folks
     I was wondering does anyone know where I could get a good food plan for intermitted fasting and time restricted eating,
    It would have to be one to suit someone who is very active and does a lot of  physical activity

    Couldn't you just do a normal food plan but put it in your eating window?

    Well that's kind of what I'm wondering about ,is it ok to just do that or should I change it up ., I'm just wondering is there any where on the net that give you a proper run do of how to do it correctly ,

    O right. When I done it I just kept mostly the same foods. Had to beef up the meals a bit due to limited time but that's it really. If you're doing 16:8 or something similar I'd check out leangains.com

    How did you find doing it ? Where you able to stick to it long, did you see any benefits ?

    Stuck with it for 3 or 4 months. Meh. It's just another strategy really. It got me over a sticking point with cutting but that's just because I wasn't cheating anymore. As a cutting strategy I'd only use it if I plateau. Otherwise I find just cutting back a few hundred calories works fine.

    I've done periods of intermittent fasting for around 8 months now, will do it one week skip the next etc... not too strict about it. I think it's too easy to turn it into an obsessive thing at which point is it just another eating disorder? ALso try not to let it mess up your social life.

    The main thing is that you are giving your digestion a break and making your body more efficient at switching between using carbs and fats for energy. I'd usually just eat between 12 an 8, two big meals and two decent snacks - all healthy food (plant based for me), because if you are doing something like this what's the point in filling up on crap?


    I found the first week tough but now I don't really get hungry when fasting and find that I am mentally sharp and have a decent amount of energy (though I wouldn't fancy a workout right at the end of my fast - like to get carbs in before I do that).

    This is just another tool in your toolbox - a good way to restrict calories if you do it right and I found it great for getting a bit leaner (down to the sub 15% BF mark). I think this is something everyone should try just so that you can learn a bit more about your body and what real hunger feels like... not that feeling you get a few hours after eating a meal.

    Also - make sure you hydrate, especially those first few days when the hunger is tougher to deal with. You'd be surprised how much water your body gets from food, so drink plenty.

    Hey folks
    Iv been doing this for nearly 3 weeks and its quite easy and straight forward,
    I finish my dinner at 7 after training and don't eat till 11 in work the next day so 16 hours, I will drink water of course and also have one black coffee in the morning ,
    On a Saturday I tend to chill with the missus after the little one is put to bed and have a snack like popcorn ,So Sundays can be tuff going from 9pm on Saturday to 1pm on Sunday but a walk and a coffee normally keeps your mind off it,
    Its been quite easy , although my diet has always been very clean so not sure if that helps,
    I feel much fresher and like I have more energy , Also I feel much more switched in in my mind
    For the first time in years I feel hungry every day, not starving or anything but I certainly feel hunger going from about 9:30 - 11 each morning,
    As someone said above I'm having 2 good meal and 2 snacks and its working a treat,
    I lift a lot and also play 5 a side and grapple once a week , iv felt no negative effects of yet,
    Iv leaned out a bit but mostly I done this to see would I feel better and I do so its working for me ,
