Ive recently been diagnosed with this, it means Ive too much calcium in the blood, not only can I not find out much about it, because its rare Ive never even met someone else with it. Is there anyone who either knows anything about it or knows someone with it who would be willing to PM me to discuss

Its scary not not knowing what lies ahead and if I could just get in contact with others with the condition that would be a great help.

    age 72/female

Hi. I have hopefully been cured of hyperparathyroidism as I had a parathyroid gland removed in June 2017. I am a member of a fantastic group on Facebook (mostly women although men can have this disease too). There are about 1 and a half thousand of us mainly from the UK but also Ireland Europe and the US. I believe this disease is under diagnosed or mis diagnosed and that it is not really as rare as it appears to be. Feel free to ask me any questions about it.

I'm in Dublin and had my surgery in St. James's.
