Move to Vodafone to avail of the phone for €29.99. Or if already on Vodafone get a free sim from another network and move it over.

Cheap back-up or basic phone with excellent battery life.

Also; top up by 20 euro before the end of June and get a free return flight to a selection of locations across Europe!

Any way to get this if you're not on Vodafone and don't want to switch to Vodafone?
    Thanks.

Nokia 2 and Nokia 3 from Vodafone all sim free since last year.

Get a free Lycamobile sim card, you need to receive a code when ordering this.

Could you do the same with Tesco, be quicker to pick one up in store?

They don't count switching from Lycamobile network.
Only the main networks like Tesco, Eir, Three, ID.
I am not sure about 48, but Lycamobile is excluded.

Do you know which networks give free Sims?

Where does it say on the site about topping up by 20 Euro before the end of June to get the free return flight?

Is this similar to the student deal Vodafone X where you have to top up 3 times before the end of June to get the free flight?

Found it on the website. Thanks.

Lycamobile was removed for a while but added back. I received my Nokia 2 last Saturday switched from Lyca no bother.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,797 ✭✭✭sweetie

Cheap enough at 29.99 but bare in mind the phone only has 1GB of Ram and the reviews for it are dreadful.

It's my summer festival phone, not risking my one plus 5!

You 100% sure on that? I want to sell mine once it gets here and I don't want to open it up to check to see if it's unlocked.

    BTW, Thanks OP

For flights? I didnt top up 20. I chose the collect instore option, hopefully its available before I go away on wednesday.

    According to their site:
To qualify, you must have switched to Vodafone from another network (excluding Lyca) between May 1st - June 30th and paid your bill or topped up by €20 minimum by July 31st.

People who switch from Vodafone Pay as you go to Vodafone Bill pay between May 1st - June 30th and who pay their bill before July 31st are also eligible.

Customers who qualify for the free European flight offer will get an email or SMS with a unique voucher code within one month of switching and topping up or paying their bill.

Please note: You must be opted in to marketing communications from Vodafone in order to receive your voucher code.

Customers will be able to claim through Sweete (sales promotions agency) landing page. All information on redemption will be outlined in the email/ SMS.

Please note: Once you get your unique voucher code from Vodafone, you must to go onto Sweete’s landing page to apply for your offer within 15 days.

Yes sure about that, I am in the phone business.

Once I seen the company behind the promotion ''Sweete'' I lost all interest. They are an absolute nightmare.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,808 ✭✭✭rizzee

Can I ask why you think that?

Me and the OH are already waiting for our voucher codes in August so we're just thinking of it as a bonus weekend away at the end of the year, if it really is free.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,318 ✭✭✭dan786

Phone comes unlocked. But it is very slow. I have seen better performance phones with lower spec. Ok as a backup for festivals etc where you dont want to use your more expensive phones or as a back up device.

    Not recommended for everyday use.

    Offer expired?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,808 ✭✭✭rizzee

    Yes, a few days ago.

However in store only offer you can get the phone for €1 (one euro!) if you port over and top up €20. Total cost €21. Definitely applies to Dublin stores, unsure about others and I don't know when it expires.

this doesnt seem to be valid in Cork

Don't quote me on it; but I think these new Nokias' already come unlocked. That was definitely the case, confirmed by Vodafone, with the Nokia 7 Plus from a few weeks ago.

My girlfriend got the offer to top up to get a free flight, topped up and went to claim it, and never received any flight voucher.

When she logged onto her account, her email was changed to something like darren@vod.ie.

Contacted CS Support and they fobbed her off saying it was automated and nothing they could do.. dodgy dodgy dodgy!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 122 ✭✭appukuttan

seems like the switch offer has expired now

They are notoriously bad to deal with. The Evening Herald ran a flight promo on more than one occasion and the same craic.

Show them the Vodafone reps post on your phone? I'm sure if they are not aware of it they can call someone and find out how to apply it. As long as you are in a Vodafone store in Dublin.
