I'm not too bad. I can mimic certain singers quite well but I don't really know my own voice :)

I don't particularly like singer's who are considered to have perfect voices like Mariah Carey or Celine Dion :/ I like to hear a unique voice. I love Bob Dylan's although I know it's not great and Stevie Nicks has a lovely husky sound. I think Mark Knopfler has the most amazing distinctive voice.

No, once in a school choir I was in the front row near the microphone and the teacher asked me to move to the back row!

No. Never could, and always really hated doing it.
That's one of the upsides of being grown up and out of school - nobody forces you to sing any more.

I'm in a pub rock band and the only one without a mic... And that includes the bleedin drummer

(I've started actually doing the backing vocals on fight for your right to party") but that's not singing

I’d say 90 per cent of people could sing if the song was in the right key for them. It’s just that popular music is usually around the same few notes.

I like to sing, but unfortunately I have not a note in my head.
So I only sing when there's nobody else around. But then... I'm James Brown, I'm Pavarotti, I'm Aretha.

No tone deaf and not a note in me head however at least I know it and don't try to sing.

Ohh and Stevie Nicks yess now she could sing.

The thing is with singing... You actually need to put in the same effort and learning and practise as the other musicians..

I can sing like a canary

I think there's a song in us all and how we perform it and execut it is the difference between being able to sing and not as some people out it.

There is no musical instrument to me as fascinating as the human voice.

I have always wanted to be able to sing but I was never naturally good at it. However through practice I'm way better now than I used to be a few years ago. I believe if one can talk one can sing but you need to learn how to do it, it's not easy but you can improve massively if you care and you try. I'm getting better all the time from nothing and some ppl seem to think I'm quite good.

I was always in the alto section of the school choir so chances are probably not. Doesn't stop me belting out Band of Gold when doing a bit of hoovering though.

No. Now I don't think I'm tone deaf but the old social anxiety puts a stop to me attempting to ever sing.

Yes. I sing to the seals on the beach and they love it and follow me. Singing too is very good for the lungs and heart.

Yes. I've studied classical vocal music for over 20 years. I was in an opera last year and will be in another one in July. I've also won a few regional competitions. I love singing, it's a great comfort to me. One time, I cut myself very badly and as I was trying to stop the bleeding, I sang to help calm myself down!

No absolutely not, my singing voice is atrocious. But that doesnt stop me belting out the tunes when I'm alone in my car.

Yes. I used to sing at mass and was heavily involved in musicials when I was younger. I was the go to singer in schools for mass’ and recitals etc. As I’ve gotten older I’ve lost interest but I’ll still give Caledonia my best effort at 4am on a night out

    I can sing Far Away.

And the further away the better!

So, no, I can't sing and I don't have an ear for music either.
