Two fast and furious teams, dry conditions, arguably the most Super Rugby style teams in the Pro14.

    Certainly exciting to watch :D

Scarlets up suspiciously fast in defence at times, while Glasgow looking a bit soft / loose defensively. Need to sort out the discipline too.

Should be an entertaining game though.

    🤪

Scarlets off to a flying start, two converted tries to a penalty.
Glasgow 3-14 Scarlets, at 19 minutes

Commentary saying Glasgow look the part of a team that hasn’t played in a few weeks.

Certainly have given away soft yards early in the match.

Finn Russell playing very expansive stuff, floating passes long and chipping it into space, he is great to watch when in this form.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Glasgow have only played two competitive fixtures in the last 33 days and lost both. Might explain their poor start here.

Terrible decision. Never maintained weight, awful stuff.

Van der Merwe getting a few flashes of possession, the ex-Scarlets player looks dangerous every time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

In fact just noticed that Glasgows Pro14 2018 so far is 5 wins - 5 losses - 1 draw. Not exactly great.

    Agreed. Terrible call.

    Horne keeping them in it.
Russell no where to be seen at the moment.

George Horne with another steal. Impressive showing so far after 27 mins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,871 ✭✭✭Jump_In_Jack

Lots of stoppages so far, must be very tough to go that explosive and then stop and then go again, very strange type of fitness required.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Why was Lacey saying "use it" the Glasgow scrum was minced there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,871 ✭✭✭Jump_In_Jack

    Knockout rugby

The size of the replacement TH for Glasgow!!
    He looks knackered already

    Another Scarlett’s try, good hands

And another one for Scarlets - could have been a forward pass there, I thought.....but obviously not.

Glasgow not on form at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,871 ✭✭✭Jump_In_Jack

    Rob that was.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

    This could be very ugly.

Scarlets are very very good tonight. Glasgow are making a few mistakes but there's enormous pressure every time Glasgow touch the ball

Yes but he said the Scarlets front row popped up as well.

    Replay looked forwards alright.

Pity Glasgow didn't score there - would have helped make a match of it.

Glasgow 3-21 Scarlets at 36 minutes.

    Hate Scottish crowds so much.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Another big occasion = another Finn Russell "no show"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Yes but he said the Scarlets front row popped up as well.

Yeah that's fair enough I guess.

Feck it Finn! Great attacking position and knocks it on.

More booing than an Ulster match here

    Always, always booing.

Yet another steal on the ground by Horne I think!

    They're saying Boo urns

What a steal by Shingler was it?

People in glasshouses shouldn't throw stones. Plenty of booing at every ground, including the 4 provinces.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,871 ✭✭✭Jump_In_Jack

Glasgow got over the line but held up on half-time.

    Shingler caught the attempted offload.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

I really can't understand how Nick Grigg is playing this level of professional rugby, never mind playing for Scotland.

Glasgow ahead in every statistic except penalties conceded, yet still 18 points down!

The stream I'm watching, there is a fabulous dual spectrum of light running down either side of the screen. Looks like a lovely night to watch live rugby.

Dead right Zippy. e.g. Leinster v Scarlets in European semi. Plenty of booing by Leinster fans.

Horne off for a HIA, the only player who actually showed up for Glasgow today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,717 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Glasgow not playing for 3 weeks really shows up what sting in the tail the conference system is, unless you happen to be in the Champions Cup final

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

    Game over.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Racing must be scratching their heads looking at what they're getting in Russell here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,871 ✭✭✭Jump_In_Jack

Match effectively over now with 30 mins to go.
Scarlets with an easy finish from the lineout, and Glasgow down to 14 for 10 minuets.
Pity that it hasn’t lived up to expectations.
    Horne back on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

That was very close. Scarlets get lucky

Should have been a lineout. Terrible decision
