Private investigator?

    Hi everyone,

So I have a family member who was forced to change their will under threat years before they passed by very controlling and greedy family members.

I have gone to a solicitor about this and contesting it, the issue is I don't have a copy of their previous will? Therefore I have no proof of a previous will? And because it is oral information that was passed to me I wouldn't be able to prove it in court. Would a private investigator be able to get the documents I need from a solicitors firm? Like wills etc?

Also the family member before they died gave me the name of two people he worked with and said they weren't his friends and to remember their names, I feel they are a huge link. I have no idea what I can do with their names or what he meant when he said to remember them?

    Thanks

What do you hope to achieve?
How much are you willing to spend?

Thanks for comment. I hope to figure out the importance of the two people he mentioned and to get a copy of his previous will and current one. I have no idea how much these things cost, would you be able to give me an estimate?

Perhaps he just didn't like those two people and asked you to remember that. Don't see any real significance between those two people and the alleged changing of the will.

Get a good solicitor onside and then you can explore the proof required.

You'd not get an adequate answer to your troubles from the internet and I'll close this thread for that reason but if you are seriously thinking along the lines of your OP, you will engage a solicitor who has your interests at heart. That may involve going outside of your town to find a solicitor.
