Throw up a picture if you can.
One of the pasture and another close up.
There could be a few possibilities after this wet winter but a picture would help.

I noticed the same and only said it you the auld lad yesterday. He’d know real answer. Only thing different to you is that stock are eating it. I’d say it was such a stressful year on grass and it might be a cause

Could be a number of things, could be n coming up in a burst as well. Could get a forage analysis done

The worst field got 3 bags 10-10-20 after overseeding last Autumn, was well dosed in fym in Feb after grazing and got bag urea before that plus bat sulcan early april and bag 18-6-12 5%S last week.

Sounds very like a phosphorus deficiency. Usually starts purple colour moving to brown as time goes by

Could well be most of the N coming in a burst now. Another thing it could be could be too much chloride in the soil but would need more expensive soil tests to check that. The potash in the fert you applied is in chloride form, apparently the sulphate form is better but harder to get.

    Thats exactly it.

There was a few nights with grass frost here in the past week and it has burned the tips of the grass in low Phosphorus fields.

Take note of these fields now lads - tis cheaper than a soil test :D

Leaf scorch, caused by wind and cold temperatures.

Leaf scorch, caused by wind and cold temperatures.

That's exactly what it is. Lots of it this year and it's usually April we get in not mid may

Purple grass sounds like P deficiency, as others have already said. Is it the whole leaf or just the tip and edge?
