Am I entitled to JSA?

Finding it hard to get a definitive answer but perhaps someone here can advise.

I was a full-time PAYE worked from 2011 up until November 2017. I then took a 6 month contract role in the UK where I was self-employed through my own UK Ltd Company.

Contract has finished, I'm back in Ireland 2 weeks and wondering if I am entitled to anything while I am looking for work?

    Thanks

JSA is a means tested payment for people who are looking for work. So if you are looking for work and pass the means test then you will get something. If you are single, no children and have no other income and less than 20k in the bank or in assets then you should be awarded the full rate of 198 per week.

On the basis of your PRSI history it appears that you may be entitled to Jobseekers Benefit - which isn't means tested. The same application form is used for both payments, so you should apply asap and let the Department decide what, if anything, to pay you.

You seem to fulfill the criteria for JSB and have a fairly straightforward claim.
    Disregard the post about JSA.
