    Just joined Vodafone SIRO service.

I had been with VM bridging a Netgear Nighthawk R7800 to their modem.

I suppose I could just bridge the HG659 and do the same but I understand it should be possible to connect my Netgear directly to the ONT.

I was wondering if I did that would the HG659 work for phone service if I hooked it up to a lan port on the Netgear and configured it to pull a LAN address from the Netgear?

I'm pretty sure that will not work and you will lose the phone service but you can try yourself to verify. If it doesn't work what you could do is disable wireless on the HG659 and use the R7800 for WiFi if keeping the phone is important to you.

We need somebody to extract the SIP info from the 59 and post a guide so you can use your own ATA.
