Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question. BUt, to get your handicap (if you have never had one before) do you have to play the 3 rounds at the club you wish to join and get your cards signed by the GUI member you have played with or can you join that club but play the 3 rounds at any GUI affiliated course and get your cards signed by your GUI affiliated partner?

    Thank.

Depends on the club. Would normally require at least 1 round at club you joined

The 3 rounds for your initial handicap absolutely have to be played at the club joined. Which is in effect your 'home' club.

This is a Congu/GUI regulation and a club would not have any leeway in the matter as regards initial allocation.

You can also submit 9 hole cards, assuming the club in question has a GUI Allocated SSS for the 9 hole course. Any combination of 9 and/or 18 hole cards, making up 54 holes in total.
