I'm currently looking at flights to Columbia South Carolina for my daughter for mid August. I don't care which Irish airport she flies out from. What's the best way of searching for flights?

Skyscanner or Google flights, but don't buy through Skyscanner. When you see the flights that you want, go to the airlines website directly and buy them there (check that the price is the same of course, sometimes Skyscanner prices are not live). Or else use Expedia or opodo, they are reliable.

Thanks for that. Is it true that when you are searching for flights to a particular place from the same laptop/device that the airlines can pick up on that and rise the prices?

So people say, but I'm a bit sceptical about that to be honest.

If you're using Skyscanner and sites like that, there's no way for the airline to know if it's you searching for flights 5 times in a row or 5 different people. It may be true, but I doubt it tbh.
